Dear Sonja,well first off all I hope that you will have the opportunity and find your father. Hope to be not to crucial in my words, please let me give you some tips: 1. This forum is not the right place for your requirements. if your father was an GI, your chances would be dozen beter, if you would contact the US-armed forces headquarter in germany.
They have ofices in Frankurt, Stuttgart and Heidelberg.
Since you anlready have his birth date and at least one region, where he was serving the army, it would take just a few phone calls to recieve his Social Security Number. This is the key for you to find your father. No matter if he is still in the army, or allready retired, if he is still living in germany, one of this headquarters can help you.

Danke Smarti,für ihre Nachricht, ja ich denke es ist besser in Deutsch als in Englisch zu schreiben, aber ich habe einen Suchdienst beauftragt und die haben meinen Vater gefunden, habe jetzt die Adresse und Telefon Nummer, aber ob er es auch ist, weiß ich halt nicht, es ist alles aber genau so wie ich ihn beschrieben habe, wie Geburtstag und so, ich habe ihn heute mal angeschrieben, mal sehen ob er zurück schreibt, aber trotz dem danke für ihre Hilfe liebe Grüße Sonja/Sanua
